FIRE & HCIP Grants
Applications to the Community Impact Project, Project Accelerator and Research & Planning Heritage Community Investment Program (HCIP) streams are due April 1, 2024. HCIP applicants can find what they need for a given stream via the Grants Portal. The next Funding Indigenous Resurgence in Edmonton (FIRE) deadline is April 22, 2024. Contact grants@edmontonheritage.ca or fire@edmontonheritage.ca to learn more about HCIP and FIRE respectively.
FIRE will be hosting a free online Info Session on March 26 from 12-1 PM and an in-person Grant Workshop on April 3 from 1-4 PM.

Current Opportunities
The City of Edmonton, in collaboration with the Edmonton Historical Board and Edmonton Heritage Council, is seeking nominations for Edmonton’s next Historian Laureate. Complete the downloadable nomination form and submit your application by the extended deadline of March 25 to edmontonhistoricalboard@edmonton.ca.
EHC is also seeking candidates to serve on its Board of Directors, for an initial three-year term and up to a maximum of two three-year terms

Edmonton Heritage Places Fund
The newly-launched Edmonton Heritage Places Fund supports the identification, preservation and celebration of the Edmonton area’s diverse and abundant heritage places so they can be experienced and appreciated by present and future generations. The Edmonton Heritage Council has undertaken a number of initiatives that explore Edmonton’s past and present, and look toward the city’s future with the goal of providing Edmontonians a deeper understanding of who they are.
